Due to the messy quagmire in Iraq, many of its citizens are fleeing in droves. The United States government in its infinite wisdom has a policy that only accepts 500 Iraqi "refugees" this year. This seems quite unfair, considering that it was really our doing that stirred the violence that, in turn, is causing the domestic and international displacement of millions. Now, to only accept that miniscule amount frustrates me.

The current administration even had the audacity to blame the U.N. for this small total. Please read the article at that link below. I certainly don't understand why the U.N. is being blamed for this.

Can anyone expand on this? I'm at a loss.
